Can you get Google Earth and Google Maps with the little man thingy to drag across to get street-view.

Can you receive email, (Thudnerbird) etc.

It is awsome!

In what way is it awesome ~ how does it differ from a netbook?

Remember I already have a PC, a laptop, a netbook and a Kindle.

Convince me ~ I feel a Miss D stylee shopping excuse coming on.  lol:

Well...

The one I've got is just stunningly built - really feels quality.

Comes with 16GB memory and the latest Android 3 operating system.

The screen is fantastic, the whole thing is slick and fast...

There are a gazillion applications to download fer free like...

And it does 90% of what I do on my PC in a tiny package...

Keyboard takes a little getting used to... but you can download other keyboards with predictive test and stuff...

So far...

Get thee behind me Satan!

This one...

I don't think it is the lightest, fastest, best screen, etc. of them all but it is very well built and the display is stunning... can't get over it really...

And (contrary to the Amazon description) it comes with 16G and Android 3

I've popped a 16GB upgrade in and it flies...

I reckon it is at least 80% of an iPad for a fraction of the price... and upgradeable....

Apart from Android nd a cool screen I am trying to justify buying it for myself.

rubschin: Maybe I'll hint for it for my burfday like ........ but can I wait until July?

Woodstock got in a right temper when I bought myself a Kindle ~ said I should have waited for my burfday as she had no idea what to get me.................... So she bought me some real books.  Banghead
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.

WiFi built in... you need a dongle for 3G

Yes, Google maps and stuff built in... it can work out where you are from your WiFi signal or you can use an external GPS receiver... I bought one off ebay for a few quid...

Yes, e-mail apps available... it will automatically synchronise with your gmail account... not sure about others yet...

Battery life is claimed five hours... depends on what you do with it... read the Amazon reviews for a good overview...

It isn't an iPad... prolly not as good but it is at least 80% as good and a lot less money. Plus you are not tied into iTunes, can access web sites with flash and you can expand the thing... it also has two Micro-USB ports and an HDMI port for streaming to your telly or projector...

Just tested the sound... speakers are a bit weak but the sound when headphones is excellent...

Playing Youtube videos is amazing...

Just copied some music to a Micro SD card - plugged it in and it found it instantly...

Music player is good - has a graphic equaliser and shows the album graphics....
