You could get her an InfoRad K2.  The ideal detector for anyone that does not watch Top Gear

It's small, only about £30 and effin deafening if you are above the speed limit near a camera.  I threw mine (actually a K1) in a cupboard for it's ear splitting intolerance of my 10% over should be OK driving style.

The PocketGPS world web site has stacks of reviews of them and the like
Well, whatever, nevermind

Mrs G has now sent the form off pleading guilty. ::)

She has been nicked by a cash cow scamera once before, but her licence was clean when this latest incident happened.....by 13 minutes! Shocked:

Meanwhile, I have a plan. eveilgrin:

Well, it had better be betterer than Huhne's was . . . .
"Political Correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end."

Well, someone had to say it!
