Just been out to lunch at our Spanish friends. As good Catholics they have 5 kids, all boys (between 2 and 11) so The Boy made 6 boys in a small house on a rainy day cussing: cussing:
CHasing games gave way to general wrestling until a yelp was heard.
Eldest nino plays the cello. Cellos have a big pointy thing at the bottom that thy stand on.
As the cello was on its side the pointy thing was, well, pointing, which is, I guess, how The Boy came to impale himself on it evil:
Being foreign they painted his leg with iodine, so he now has a purple leg. Must have been quite painful judging by the screaming evil:

Prolly not as painful as the sound of the cello owner playing it? whistle:

Ouch! Did he sad32: or cussing:

Both

Bless.
It must have hurt though.

Did you take the cat?
Do the police know that 'chellos' are offensive weapons?
In my day, iodine was brown. rubschin: ...and usually stung more than the wound it was applied to did.
Finally, don't forget the 'duvay'

They chuck that stuff on everything in Spain. My Mum used to despair of it, sooo many pairs of white socks stained beyond repair. That and oxygenated water, you slap it on and the bubbles get all the crap out. Hurts like billyo though.

Quite a lot of people call "carbonated water" oxygenated.
Shall we settle for "Fizzy"
-
It isn't normal fizzy water though. It comes from the farmacy. redface:

We used to have it at home but I can?t remember what it is called now ? trichloroethylene or somesuch?

Sounds a little more like Hydrogen Peroxide to me. Chemical symbol H2O2, as distinct from regular water which is H2O. So, if you take regular water, add extra oxygen, you get hydrogen peroxide or oxygenated water. QED.
Just don't go anywhere near an airport or tube train of bus with it - unless, of course, you wish to spend some time in a small confined room with a locked door!
This link (http://www.met.police.uk/so/at_hotline.htm) refers.

Clearly a swot at Chemistry.
I got caned every Friday for five years for failing to complete my chemistry homework. The b@st@rd even caned me the week after he had spilled acid on my hand. As my hand was heavily bandaged he said "hold out the other one"

That's exactly the stuff and it stung like billy oh (not billy elliot in case anyone was going to make that pun in retort) and it used to be a favourite of Barman's Mum, coupled with a needle and long piece of thread!!!
All three used together equalled blister popping or thorn excavation torture scared2: scared2: scared2:
My Mum once re-set my arm herself ;D when I came in crying one day from our back garden having broken both my tibia and fibula (I think that's what dem bones is called) through jumping off our swing when it was at it's topmost point, landing perfectly but then falling over and landing on my left arm. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh it was really mangled up and the two bones were snapped right through and almost poking out of the skin (but I don't remember it hurting ) and she (Mum that is) just yanked the arm out straight and gave it a hefty thwack underneath and bingo all done. Well not quite really, still had to go to the hospital to get arm put in plaster (which in those days was the really old messy type where they had a soak loads of bandages and drape them on in 12 million layers) but she saved me from having to have what could have been a very nasty operation........... Bless ;) Guess it helped that she was a trained nurse and didn't faint at almost sticky out bones and such sick2:
-
Do you now operate on Barman?

Do you now operate on Barman?
She gave me a hair cut today... scared2:

Upstairs or downstairs? scared2:
And is she trained?

Upstairs and no, she isn?t trained?
Luckily she has now managed to work out which way up the clippers go ? results in a much smoother overall finish and rather less missing parts of scalp? noooo:

If it bleeds, sprinkle some of this on.
Problem sorted.

Er is my memory going or is hydrogen peroxide used in hair bleach and rocket fuel? eeek:

Yes it bleaches as I discovered when I gave my jet black horse a fetching blonde streak on his rump.
That powder stuff is ace though! Sorts most things out. Used to be great on open blisters.
