Just one word... Gross...    My sister in law took several pairs back with her after their state visit, I just don't get them at all, mind you I have never tried them on, so I have no idea if one could actually walk in them, I would be just too ashamed to try.

I was in total agreement with you and thought them foul in the extreme. Then last year I had some foot/ankle problems and the doctor suggested them. Once you have put them on  you will never go back.

I still have my heels and mules but they aren't terribly practical for walking in.  (See above foot and ankle problems.) However, once Mr Wench passes his driving test, (fingers crossed) and there is a car I am sure they will be worn more often.
