Just once I'd like to see her stick her hand up and say "Yes you are right, I was absolutely useless" instead of blaming someone else when she has a disaster on air. She either hasn't figured out that the BBC doesn't need to whip up an anti Dianne atmosphere as anyone with 2 brain cells to rub together can see her for what she really is or she is so deluded that it just can't register with her.

How I loathe her - it doesn't seem unreasonable that others should too...  noooo:

Bloody hell they had the Abbott and that even more dishonest utter cow Isabel Oakeshott next to each other and no one let go with an Uzi.  Huge opportunity missed.
Well, whatever, nevermind

I know this story broke a little while ago but it looks like America may have a younger denser version of Abbott  eeek:

Apparently you can spend accounting errors and tax breaks on funding projects or medicare instead.  noooo:

Thousands of potential jobs
Millions (if not billions) in additional tax revenue
Over 2 billion $ in infrastructure investment

Lost because someone was bleedin' stupid enough to think it would be a good idea to use an electoral trick to push a 29 year old former bartender who, to nick a line from Denis Leary, knows shit about shit and thinks that a tax break is giving money away into congress where she decided that Amazon was the root of all evil so rounded up the activists to put her agenda ahead of the needs of the city...  noooo:

A $3bn tax break that would have been almost completely covered by the badly needed $2.5bn infrastructure investment that Amazon had agreed to, not the mention the estimated $20bn in tax revenues over the next 10 years.

Ah, but all the jobs created would be non-union jobs so therefore much better to chuck the whole thing away...  noooo:

Amazon cancelled the deal after a campaign from activists, unions, and politicians despite the fact that there was a massive amount of support for the deal from the majority of the residents of NY.

Given that a large proportion of the activists and politicians involved are members of the Democratic Socialists of America a political group who amongst other things are dedicated to the abolition of profit you can see why Amazon would see it would be more trouble that it was worth to carry on.

Here is an example of their views.

Swigging booze from a can on the London overground, since the ban was put in place a normal person would usually be charged for doing so. Something tells me that isn't going to happen here...  noooo:

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-6941539/Diane-Abbott-apologises-sincerely-drinking-alcohol-train-London.html

I will admit I was surprised by the apology, going from her past performance I was expecting it to be put down to her blood sugar levels or that she would declare it a racist or sexist attack against her.
