No, not those Nigerian scammers, the sodding taxman! Surprised nobody else has mentioned this. They want powers to remove money directly from our bank accounts without a court order.

I noticed the news this morning was on about there being a hefty cock up by inland revenue meaning that 1 Million people have been paying too much tax...


I wonder if that means I can have their bank details so that I can get back any excess from them.  whistle:

The one million refers to people who have paid the wrong amount of tax. Both over and under.  ;)
