This Live Earth bollocks

so who will be watching ?, apart from the RHCP I don't think its worth it. Same old cack being wound up by Madonna, who no doubt has a new album to promote.

Will Gandalf and Bongo make an appearance I wonder ?

Are all the amps, lighting equiment etc being used by solar power ??

You've also got to wonder whats going to happen to all the rubbish that is bound to be generated by the audience throughout the concert  whistle:

I notice we have people like Shakira ( from Columbia ) performing in South Africa, and the RHCP ( from California ) playing in London. Why arent they doing it in their own coutries ?? all the air miles for the people, equipment, road crew, managers, etc etc etc.. all that polution !!!

I am contributing to their cause my switching the t.v. off for the duration of the concert.

I'm waiting for the news story of someone changing a plug and connecting the Live wire to the Earth pin.

I won't be shocked; but they might  eyes:

What a load of cack, aged 30 something lesbians humming along to James Blunt.  Yep the annual carbon footprint of the average popstar will exceed mine if i live to be 182.  Madonna, 6 houses in London, 1 in Beverly Hills, 1 in NY and a country retreat.  2 landrovers, a merc and a mini cooper.  She even has to fly a few thousand miles to get a sprog, the average youngster these days travels little further than the alley way by the spar shop.

Chris Rock and Ricky Gervais with Jonathon Woss was quite funny though.  JR kept trying to talk seriously about the ills inflicted on the World, Ricky Gervais agreed stating he was too hot.  Chris Rock said he hoped this concert ended climate change like Live Aid had ended world hunger  ;D

Heard a fantastic story from a mate of mine yesterday while I wasn't mowing the lawn.

He rents out a house in Chester to some students and had gone round to insepct it while they were moving out. He noticed the washing machine door was broekn and pointed this out. He added that the damage done was indicative of the machine being overloaded.

"That would be Joe."
"Why?"
"He is very eco friendly and crams as much stuff in as he can on each wash to save the planet."
"Well he hasn't saved the washer. Where is he?"
"On his way home."
"My mate said, "Right, I'll give him a call."
"He won't be there yet."
"When did he leave?"
"Last Tuesday."
"Where does he live?"
"Taunton, but he has gone on his bike." ( eeek:)
"What about his stuff?"
"He has built a small trailer out of scrap wood and is towing it all home"

Note that his possessions, include, amongst other things, a futon!

Noted for their heaviness. I believe the Japanese used them in torture during WW2 and then exported them to the West as a kind of organic bed in the 70s.

Its a guess but I'd check their tour schedules. Odds are that the venue coincides with wherever they are on the road at the moment.
