Nah ~ A nice pair of earings need not cost the earth. £100 should see you with more brownie points than even you could use up in a week.

In recent times Mrs S#2 has expressed pleassure at being given:
Earings (Gold with small rubies)
A Necklace (Gold with freshwater pearls)
Three cardigans (because I couldn't decide which she would like best ~ she wears them all but not at the same time)
A Leather Handbag
An Ankle Chain (Gold with a small charm attached)
Silver charms (assorted) for her charm braclet originally bought by her parents for her 21st
A Sewing Machine
The obligatory Champagne and Chocs of course.

Like Miss D says ~ It's not hard to find something.

And it's not all about the gifts either.
An ex of mine was working abroad on her birthday so I phoned the hotel and asked what sort of fax machine they had; they confirmed it was a roll rather than sheet fed.
So, I taped together about 20 sheets of A4 landscape paper and painted a mahoosive "Happy Birthday!" banner and then faxed it through during the night.
Breakfast arrived the next morning along with a fax from Mr P ...  eyes:

Thats an impressive list Snoops  8)

One of my favourite presents that I have ever received was a childrens book .

It was called Guess How Much I love You  - It was a special edition in a velvet cover and personally embossed.  cloud9:
