Electrical goods retailer Empire Direct has gone into administration, with the loss of 158 jobs.
The Leeds-based firm traded mainly online but also had 14 UK stores, which have closed.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/west_yorkshire/7838656.stm

Luxury clothing brand Burberry is to close its plant in Rotherham in South Yorkshire, with the loss of 290 jobs.
It means the only remaining UK plants will be at Castleford and Keighley, following the closure of its plant at Treorchy, south Wales, in March 2007.
It is also closing its Thomas Burberry line in Spain, with the loss of about 250 jobs there.
