Six inches of snow so far.  It's still snowing mostly sideways but sometimes gusting in circles. There is no traffic on the road outside. I would be able to look Nick in the eye if I could see over the top of the snow drift outside the front door.

Just walked the dogs (NAE)...

Lots of damage around, trees and fences blown down, tiles and satellite dishes blown off roofs....  noooo:

I really do wonder if the Met Office et al  look out the bloody window.

At 0700hr's the Met Office forecast shown that it would be pissing down here all morning. At 0930 Sky weather said the snow may reach London and even touch on the South Downs, this 30 seconds after they'd just announced that Newbury Races were off due to the snow  ::)  We now have about 35 - 40mm of snow on the ground and it's still bloody snowing.   Banghead
