Keeping on the on the sci-vi theme, I watched Outlander last night. Basically take Beowulf and cross it with Alien. Kaiinan crash lands in 750AD Norway and discovers he wasnt the only survivor of the crash. Initially blamed for the slaughter of a neighboring village he soon proves his worth to the king and helps the Viking settlement defend itself against the creature.

Its...different but certainly a better reworking of the Beowulf legend than the godawful Christopher Lambert post apocalyptic version a few years back.

He's mouth is open and I can see him speaking but  shrugs:

I can do a Miss D version with smaller words if that helps...  whistle:

Now if everyone will excuse me I'm going to find somewhere safe to hide while Miss D sharpens her axe....  scared:

Post apocalyptic? Makes perfect sense, just think Villa Balda after BM has been decorating.  whistle:

Not read the book. But I recommend the film. Beautifully acted and directed with restraint that lets the actors tell the story with real emotion.

Its quite a shocking moment when the boy begins to dig underneath the fence to help the other boy look for his father and everything clicks into place and you suddenly KNOW how its going to end.
