I just did too - amidst thunder and lightning overhead  scared2:

3 A4 pages worth of ballot papers  ::). 1st & 2nd place for the Mayor, Local then London wide; some people were looking somewhat confused and spending far too long hunched over their papers  confused:

Also... why did I only get a 2" stubby pencil? ... already separated from its string?  evil:

Sometimes the giant hamster of misfortune doesn't want to run on anybody's wheel but yours?

Labour suffers big council losses

Quote from: BBc Web Shite
Labour is suffering a grim night in local elections in England and Wales, losing more than 140 seats so far.

BBC research suggests the party has fallen into third place nationally with 24% of the vote, beaten by the Tories on 44% and Lib Dems on 25%.

So far they are the worst local poll results for Labour in 40 years

And Boris is tipped to win in London! spider:

See also: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/shared/bsp/hi/elections/local_council/08/map/html/map.stm

Not after this he isnt  Banghead

I expect they will get a good thumping, but of course it'sthe London Mayoral that will get hte attention.I so want Boris to win

You do realise with your track record you've probably jinxed his entire campaign now.

I ended up watching the BBC coverage through the night (thank god I finish work at 1.30 today). I get the impression that the Beeb has been wanting to rip Brown to pieces for a while, they seemed to be going all out to take the mickey out of him when they were doing the comparisons over the last few years.

Either that or they were just dumbig down for the audience they thought they would get at 2am.

She reckons it's all about credit crunch and food prices.

 noooo:

She is deluded.

Look Harriet, take a big mirror into your next Cabinet meeting and get everyone to look in it.

That's your problem. Banghead cussing: cussing: cussing:

She gave an amazing stuttering performance on the radio this morning – she was obviously considering the implications of every single word that left her lips!  point:

Labour ~ who came 3rd out of five
Cons 327
Ind    181
Labour 87
Lib/Dem 58
Plaid Cymru 56

Pathetic that to count that we have taken since 10pm last night but that is Denbighshire ~ they don't start until the morning after. Also pathetic that only 709 voted out of an electoral roll of 1898
