I have a story story about him … Thumbs:

Popcorn:

Are we sitting comfortably…?…..So many moons ago in a far off land called the UK ….

I used to de code car stereos ..( four digit code to prevent theft etc ) for garages and individuals when battery went flat etc …..

Now as it happens …..that software with a little “tweeting”  could also change the numbers  on a digital dashboard … whistle:

Now decoding stereos paid 15 to 20 quid …”Mileage Correction “ ….paid 250 a go … cloud9:

( the deposit on second house was paid in cash  ;) ) …

So …( if you are still reading ) …I put an advert in the Exchange and Mart for mileage correction etc …

Loads of breakers yards called to put secondhand dash to Zero or mileage the customer wanted etc …

Plus all the secondhand car dealers did .. whistl……

Now on to the main story … ……

Top Gear Didnt a whole section about digital dashboards ……coz Quentin had said that buying a car with a digital odometer guaranteed the car had not been clocked ….

So when he found out he was wrong ….guess some do gooder phoned in ..? …

He then did a WHOLE another section on top gear …explaining that “crooks” out there were doing it etc …

During the ishow they even showed my advert ( with number blanked out ) in exchange n mart …… noooo:

I missed the show but my phone that night and next morning melted with people warning me … scared2:

Nearly every call I answered were “ Joe Public “ wanting their car clocked … cloud9: …for the next two months I was earning a fortune ..( all cash ) ….

So not all bad publicity is bad …
