Very sad loss.

The (also now sadly departed) Prezzo in Tenterden used to be decked out with prints of his pictures and most of them were excellent.

RIP

Roger Cook (the cook report) aged 83

Not someone you would want knocking on your door but he was a game changer for TV and exposed a lot of crooks.

The Major Oak!!!! sad24:

The Major Oak is a large English oak (Quercus robur) near Edwinstowe in the midst of Sherwood Forest, Nottinghamshire, England. According to local folklore, it was Robin Hood's shelter where he and his Merry Men slept. It weighs an estimated 23 tons, has a girth of 33 feet (10 metres), a canopy of 92 feet (28 metres), and is about 800–1,000 years old.[1][2] The Major Oak sits within a Site of Special Scientific Interest.[3] In June 2026, the tree was reported to have died after being stressed by hot, dry summers.[4]
