Sorry. Only taken me 4 bloody weeks to catch up. ::)
54 days since I had a snout now, BUT I will admit to havin' an 'amlet with a drink.
The main thing is that I consider I've got my 'habit' of just smokinhg for the sake of it, and just simply reaching for the pack every 30 minutes now well under control.
I've been using the liquorice flavour Nicontinell chewy to help. Trouble is that it tastes that good I've become addicted to that now instead. Seriously, it's the best chewy EVER...imo.

I have gone 3 1/2 years now (Well 43 months, 5 days and 22 hours 45 minutes - approximately) and I often go many days now without even thinking about fags at all.

It's been a long long time since I needed one but not quite so long since the habit wore off.

What kept me going was the thought of all that wasted suffering if I ever gave in and had 'just the one' again.   I couldn't cope with starting back at day one again.

That's the point. I always enjoyed a smoke with a drink, it was all the other fags inbetween that were smoked simply out of habit, not enjoyment. That's finished....I hope
