You missed light 'n bitter which used to be the drink of my choice.
That hasn't got Mild in it. . .   noooo:

Did you drink L & B because you liked it or because you had a good chance of getting a pint-and-a-bit from a careless barmaid?  whistle:

Nooooooo. That is bad even for The Boy!

Don't we know it! I had a call from the school yesterday to come and collect him. I was in Hereford!!

Ms Nick got dragged out of invigilating an exam and was mightily pissed off!!

He is on bread and water at the moment (metaphorically speaking)

Oh dearie dearie me. Must have been pretty bad. They don't suspend at Mr Wench's school for anything! He had to drag two kids apart in the middle of a French lesson the other day. Two black eyes, a chipped tooth and assorted bruises between the kids and still no suspension!

Takes two to fight (at least) I trust the opponent(s) has/have also been suspended for a similar period.

Or one of those teachers.

Many many years ago I felt impelled to give one of my teachers a "bit of a slap".
He was a sadistic b@st@rd and someone had to do it one day. It fell to me.
He left the school and I enjoyed a public six with the cane across the arse from the Head
Plus a lecture about "Talking the law into own hands etc.
He (the head) made me a prefect the following week.

A very wise man that Head.

I know I was being tongue in cheek really. I got made Head Girl by my head after a two day suspension for losing my rag with a teacher. Some can be dreadful dreadful people who have no business being in the profession.

I think we have been over this ground before!

That reminds me, why does this forum say "go down" in big letters at the top of the page?

I keep pressing it and all that happens is it pops to the bottom of the page.

Is it another of these "xx Posts before it works" features?

I know what you are hoping for and can assure you that having been here from the beginning that is all it does ........ Mind you when you do "Go Down" there is a button that says "Go Up" .... I assume it is some sort of Dumb Waiter control.  whistle:
