I have to inform you that this ash fetish is a waste of time. Once done with the corporeal body, we (the wraiths of the world) have no further use for it. Still others put it to good use - I am reliably informed that there are a number of egg-timers created this way.

As far as we are concerned, it is of no further interest other than purely academic.
