There are very faint signs of life...  rubschin:

I suspect it is beyond help tho... Especially as I have taken it all apart now...  redface:
I assume you licked every last bit to ensure not a drop of collapso was wasted

Of course!  angel1
So all things considered, just an irritation as a true disaster was avoided

But I could have bought a lot of collapso economico (370 litres in fact) for what it is going to cost me for a replacement laptop...  cry:
Yep all jesting apart tis a real shit thing to happen.  I lost one laptop when I spilled orange squash (of the shame) on it and another was a goner after a cat pissed on it (he was terminally ill at the time) but I suspect none were as pricey as your one

Why they don't treat laptops with those coatings some mobile phones now get is just stupid.  At least that way you only lose the keyboard
Well, whatever, nevermind

It's just a thought but seeing as you seem to go through gadgets at a rate of knots would you be better off getting a refurbished one rather then forking out for a brand new rig each time?

If nothing else you could still pay for some collapsio then  rubschin:

A good point well made! You can chuck most phones in the back for an hour now, why not laptops...?  rubschin:

The problem is just buying anything here, let alone a refurbished one. Amazon won't ship here, I bought the last one from an ebay reseller but there isn't much on there at the moment that fits the bill.

There is an English run computer store in Chloracas but their refurbished machines look suitable for XP...

Local stores of course have laptops-aplenty but are expensive and have Greek keyboards...

I'm investigating if Amazon will ship to a BFPO address...  rubschin:

Oh woes nooo:

Your SSD should be salvagable and possibly the M.2 drive as well so if you get an external connector you can at least save the data you had on there

Yarp. I've put it all back together and will sell for spares/repair...

Keeping the memory, SSD and M.2.
