New not red and blue lightweight jacket

[serious]  Visa(s), they can take weeks for Oz if you have any driving offences like - even 40 year old ones  Banghead[/serious]

Would this be a good time to say that Oz wine costs ~twice as much there as the same bottle does in Tescos here?
Well, whatever, nevermind

Just renewed our driving licences - replaced paper with photo ID plastic and both will be clean...  cloud9:

I presume Oz booze is cheap compared to Dubai...?  scared2:

Never been to Dubai so no idea.  everything is expensive in Oz

'winging' Sydney is the best plan.  You need to find it your way not some rehash of other people's visits and of course miss things your way because you will never do it all.  And then of course you'll want to go back again  . . . and again and  . . .

Clean licences don't count.  The question they ask you is have you ever been convicted of anything.    If you lie and they find out you will be barred for something like 3 years.  And apparently they do some checks between granting the visa and your passport being scanned on arrival in Oz.

What seems to happen Visa wise is if you say no convictions ever the E-Visa comes through in seconds and if you say yes it goes into someone's in tray.  In my case for just under 2 weeks.  Google the issue and you'll see some people effed it up.

Well, whatever, nevermind
