Wholemeal.

And what is GI? S'OK, looked it up.

And he has just asked me for some more lunch Banghead

Granary would be better.

He doesn't like it "too seedy" ::)

Then I wouldn't worry. To be fair unless they are sat in front of the computer/tv eating turkey twizzlers for dinner then I wouldn't be concerned.

That's about what our 9yo gets through on an average day. The 6yo eats a bit less, the 14yo would consider that lot a light snack! They do eat a f*ck of a lot more than we do but they are growing I guess.

An average week's shopping at the kennel includes 3kilos Bananas, 2 kilos Apples, 2 Kilos Oranges, 1 kilo Grapes, Punnet of Nectarines/peaches and 8 Kiwi Fruit and a large Honeydew Melon.
We also buy 6 loaves of bread + make 6 ourselves (some prefer shop sliced bread for their toast)
18 pots of Yoghurt, 3 kilos Carrots, 2 heads of Celery, sundry cucumbers, tomatoes, at least two lettuce, 1 kilo cheddar cheese, half kilo Edam or similar, 30 eggs. I cauliflower, two large heads of Broccoli, half kilo Onions, 2 Kilos pasta (various shapes including Spaghetti) one kilo Rice. Sundry fish, and Twenty fish fingers. 5 Kilos Potatoes
Meat is an unknown as brother is a butcher and simply restocks our freezer as it needs it.
Oh and all three have school lunches!!! eeek:

That is reassuring. I worked out we get through 24 pints of milk a week. There are only three of us!

He is presently "watching TV". This involves having the TV on and leaping around the room, occasionally bouncing off a sofa. noooo:

We only use 9 pints of milk a week. None of them like milk much, Mrs S is allergic to it and I don't like it. I never eat cereals (however you spell it) and the children only have a little milk on theirs. Mrs S doesn't eat cereal either.
My breakfast is always Porridge (made with rolled oats and water) with half teaspoon of cinnamon on top. Good for the cholesterol ~ or so they tell me. We do seem to go through gallons of Orange and/or Apple juice.
And NO Children like seedy bread (in my experience that is something that one grows into liking)
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.

I have explained to him that the best part of what we eat is seeds. Even chips are made from seeds FFS. "Don't like seeds".

So: no cake, no biscuits......................??

GI is something promoted by the television "cook" Anthony Worral Thompson, I have deducted that seeing as he's a fat bastard the GI diet means bugger all

If you want to lose weight either don't eat or have a mouth thats smaller than your arse

He was late to the band wagon and his cook book promoting it was shite.
