For some reason this morning I'm reminded of a 'Simulcast' before NICAM TV when a Queen concert (Apollo?) was broadcast on the tellybox and simultaneously broadcast in FM Stereo on Radio 2...

I remember moving Hi-Fi and cables so the speakers could sit either side of the telly and I could watch the concert in glorious Stereo...  cloud9:

It was probably later than that and the Wiki says the audio was broadcast laster on R1...

This was definitely a simulcast in Stereo on R2...

I don't think NICAM is used any more (I still know what it stands for) as stereo audio is included in the digital stream now..
