in a world where CGI seems to be used for almost every bloody effect Phil Tippet going back to stop motion basics is a welcome change, it also looks like a batshit crazy film.  Thumbs:

Cool!  Thumbs:

It's finally released and is available on Shudder which has a weeks free trial.  cloud9:

So far it's very strange and very clever, certainly worth a look.  Thumbs:

Hmm, you may want to add grim and twisted as well. Still a good film but bloody hell..  eeek:

Gawd I remember watching these on TV when I was a kid, if I'm not working seeing them on a big screen could be tempting.  rubschin:

Quote
Enjoy a double dose of Dr Who in the cinema this July with a double bill featuring Dr. Who And The Daleks and Daleks' Invasion Earth 2150 A.D. lovingly regenerated in out-of-this-world 4K for the perfect cinema experience for Doctor Who and sci-fi fans.

Dr. Who And The Daleks was the first big screen film adaptation of British TV’s most iconic sci-fi hero, and the first time Doctor Who was ever seen in colour. Having invented the TARDIS, a strange machine capable of travelling into other dimensions, the Doctor and his three young accomplices set forth on a quest through time and space. Their journey takes them into the dark, undiscovered depths of the universe and to the planet of Skaro, a primitive world devastated by nuclear war and populated by two warring species, a peaceful tribe known as Thals and a life form heavily mutated by radiation, encased in protective machines, a merciless force of destruction known as The Daleks!

The second film, Daleks' Invasion Earth 2150 A.D. sees Cushing return to the big screen – the future of Planet Earth now belongs to The Daleks, but deep within the London Underground a group of resistance freedom fighters are planning an attack. Can The Doctor help them succeed in destroying their extra-terrestrial enemies and take back control of Earth?

Directed by Gordon Flemyng, featuring the legendary Peter Cushing as everyone’s favourite timelord and also starring Roy Castle, Bernard Cribbins, Jennie Linden and Roberta Tovey. Despite not being part of the BBC’s Doctor Who IP, these films have remained a firm favourite amongst the "Whoniverse" and are much loved by fans across the world.
The universe is run by the complex interweaving of three elements. Energy, matter, and enlightened self-interest.

Early customer reviews of Thor aren't lighting the world on fire. So far they've run the gamut from "s'alright" & "It's ok" through "meh" all the way to "Can you smack me over the head with the model Stormbreaker you have behind the kiosk so I can forget the last couple of hours"  lol:

I guess you mean 'Thor - Love and Thunder'?

Mrs K has just watched the whole Marvel Cinematic Universe in chronological order.  Have to say even those I found good at the time have become overly tedious

So even if it was good IMHO it'd be a film too far but seems it's far from good.   Bet she wants to go see it though

Well, whatever, nevermind

Another 40th anniversary 4K remaster showing this week and I have the day off.  cloud9:

Star Trek the Motion Picture, the first film I can remember watching as a kid and something I've always wanted to see on a big screen.

I'm hoping it does well enough that head office also get the 4K remaster of Wrath of Khan when it's released in a couple of weeks.  cloud9:
