« on: January 21, 2015, 09:12:50 PM »
It looks like all Windows 7 and 8 users are going to be able to have a free upgrade to Windows 10 in the first year after release...  rubschin:

How long is a safe beta test period...  rubschin:

To be honest I figured I'd catch Padlock Pockets with the 'free' bit though if that doesn't work I'll wait till it's 364 days before deciding. I figure that by then there will have been enough complaints about crappy programming constructive criticism to choose whether or not to give it a go.  whistle:

Get a 4Gb memory stick, shove it in one of the spare USB ports in the back of the computer then go into properties for that drive. You will see a tab marked Readyboost. Activate it and you should see a performance increase as it will use the drive as extra memory.

Was there a Windows 9 ?

I am using Windows 8 but I can't say I like it.

Instead of going forwards I am thinking of going backwards ....I liked Vista and XP
