Data Protection!
« on: June 27, 2020, 03:52:24 PM »
So, The Boy's mobile phone is not werking.
I call Tesco Mobile as I pay his damn bill and they won't talk to him for "data protection" reasons.
I call "Customer Care"  evil:
They tell me I can get him a new phone for "just 81". It is his birthday next week and this may get me off lightly  ::)
They take me through "Security " for reasons of "Data Protection"  evil:
They can send the phone to me but not to him  Banghead
Why can't they send it to his address?
"Data Protection"
Can he go into a branch of Tesco and pay the 81 himself?
No, you are the account holder and for reasons of "Data Protection"........
Can't they phone me when he is in the shop and take me through security so I can prove that I am the account holder and happy for him to give them 81
Well, you see, "Data protection" means you have to be there in person.
That is a 200 mile round trip!
Well, Data Protection.......
