Well I reckon Moyes will be gone shortly but Allardyce isn't the answer. We need someone big who will be given the funds to buy the players needed.

It ain't goning to happen though   noooo:

You should have kept Moyes on, he did a good job of turning your team round by giving Arnautovic the front striker role that brought out the best in him and the rest of the team

But you've let him go, too late now.
Well, whatever, nevermind

Oh yes

But Manchester is a long drive up and back from here (done it several times though) and there is no way I can get legal entry to the London games nowadays.  Once upon a time I would go to all of them.

The reason the matches have moved all over the weekend isn't the fault of Sky (and BT Sport), it's the smaller clubs insisting they are so moved to avoid clashes with their games .
Well, whatever, nevermind

Is that what Sky told you?

No

It's been what football clubs have insisted on for years, even before the Premiership.  I also remember live football on ITV

Having looked in to it seems that pressure from smaller clubs led by Bob Lord the then chairman of Burnley set the ban on live televised matches between 2:45 and 5:15 on a Saturday. So I'm in the wrong.

I still detest Sky.  cussing:

Speaking of detestable there are some interesting questions being asked about Mike Ashley and Newcastle...

https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/money-gone-14-transfer-window-15011709

My opinion on each of the questions:

1.  Because Ashley has the mentality of an East End barrow boy. Buy cheap and flog on as soon as possible.
2.  The spending would suggest that Ashley is a lying tosser and there is more chance of getting Apey to open his wallet. (I'm mitigating against much stronger language here).
3.  It wouldn't surprise me if Ashley pulled a shitty stunt like that.
4.  Backed into a corner more like.
5.  Ashley's enforcer, making sure money wasn't spent.
6.  If he does then he is even more of an ignorant arrogant grasping fuckwit than I previously believed.
7.  He doesn't care as long as he can keep gouging money from the club.
8.  Has Ashley had any home improvements or flashy personal purchases lately?.
9.  Mike Ashley is a tossmonger who doesn't even support Newcastle.
10. He's blustering. Previous behavious would indicate he doesn't care about his staff, just his wallet.
11. Mike Ashley is a greedy bastard (again mitigating language - whatever you choose to replace it with tould still be tamer than what I'd like to use).
12. Ashley is probably looking forward to it in order to get a cheaper manager.
13. We hope and pray that it is because he thinks he can sell it but going from what appears to have happened with the Amanda Staveley led attempt his ego is getting in the way.
14. Given how little Ashley has spent on the club? I'd say it would be lucky to be worth half that.

I've been a frustrated Toon fan for years and by now had reached the point where I had all but given up so as far as the #IfRafaGoesWeGo campaign I hope the rest of the Magpie Group carry it through. The only thing that detestable cockwomble cares about is his wallet and this is the only way to stand up to him. As was said in the open letter, You are only one man. We are a city. We are United. Personally I'd like to follow that mantra with Sell the club, Fuck off and never darken our doors again.

But why detest Sky?  They deliver quality sports coverage we wouldn't otherwise have available.
