Depends on what your expectations were I guess ?

As a kid time and the future seems so far away that anything is achievable. As an adult time is your enemy where you can never actually achieve all that you want to  sad24:

We got man in space and to the Moon because of competition. (US-Soviet cold war) Take that away and they stop trying. Some sort of lesson there.  rubschin:

I watched the programme on the space shuttle and the programme on Titan last night (from me sick bed like)...

I know we have discovered amazing things about the universe and how it all began etc. But how does that help the man on the Clapham Bendy-bus? Shrugs:

I can't help but think that the trillions of Dollars might have been better spent... although of course we might have just spent them on weapons instead...

But have they also stopped trying quite so hard because they haven't found anything useful or valuable or sustainable so far ?

The cost is the major stumbling block .... that and the more we learn the more we realise we don't know (and probably never will)
