I confess that I picked up this story some days ago in the Daily Telegraph ..... It made me laugh at the sheer stupidity of the "officials" concerned. It does of course confirm my long held belief in the Law of Unintended Consequences as demonstrated by so many of the laws passed by nu-labour. How many times have we heard our elected representatives say "Of course this law is only meant to deal with X,Y & Z....... ordinary citizens will have nothing to fear"... and then, for example, they used their new anti terror laws to forcibly evict an elderly man from a meeting and have him arrested because he called Jack Straw a liar, a truth if ever I heard one.
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.
