On saying that, I've promised to make a cake you can eat, rather than drink like last time  ::) for the lads gathering in the Lake Disrtict  in just 3 weeks time.

I normally would agree with you but since the recent lactose intolerance diagnosis there are very few cakes that I can eat that I can buy. Hence the cooking. Although the cookies and shortbread were made with proper butter on purpose so I couldn't eat them.

I never chop pecans. Buy halves for decorating cakes otherwise place in a plastic bag and hit them with a rolling pin. This method works also for walnuts, brazil nuts and hazel nuts.  Better than getting bits in your eyes.  whistle:

See, that would have been useful half an hour ago!

I also have lemon juice in various cuts on my hands, have broken a nail and now have to figure out what to do with:

1 victoria sponge
32 choc chip cookies
banana bread
pumpkin loaf
apple bread
12 shortbread biscuits

also have made

1 batch pea and mint soup
1 batch carrot/swede/nutmeg soup
2 batches of meatballs
2 batches of tomato pasta/pizza sauce

You could try selling them in order to fund buying more tat Wenchy...
