Uncle may need to go facepalm:

So we're in the car and for some reason I says 'Eee, aye umm' and Mrs K asks 'where does that come from?' and I goes 'don't you remember I didn't know you cared?'    Seems she didn't so knew nothing of Stavely (pardon), Carter (of the above phrase) and of course Robin Bailey's priceless portrayal of Uncle Mort   eeek:

Time moves on.

The TV series was very good but the books much better.


In a similar vein was The Beiderbecke Affair, worth digging out.  :thumbsup:

Oh yes that was very good but then just about everything James Bolam has done is.

We actually watched that first escipode of IDKYC earlier the one that starts with a funeral and twas very funny
