Which reminds me...

Many years ago, we had an overseas customer (Tangiers, I think) wanting to launch a product along the lines of the "Mum" Roll-on Deodorant. We telexed him, no problem, do you have a brand name in mind?

Next day, a telex came back...

YES. OUR LAWYERS ARE PRESENTLY LOOKING TO REGISTER THE TRADE MARK.. "BUM"

So maybe the Germans have come to their senses. I was talking 1970. Perhaps they are more "internationallly aware" now (in new ways obviously. like "Don't invade them, they are your friends" etc.)

I would have thought a roll-on, or indeed any sort of Bum deodorant would be a big hit in that part of the world.

There is a "Stick" deodorant on the market that bears the instruction: "Remove top and push up bottom"

All this talk of odd product names reminds me that I still have, somewhere in the tip that passes for a garage, a small aerosol container of door lock de-icer bought many years ago.

It's a Scandinavian product with the compelling name of:

SUPER PISS

 drumroll:
"Political Correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end."

Well, someone had to say it!
