Found this...............

Use products that contain citronella when spending time outdoors. These come in the form of citronella candles, sprays and torches. Citronella products are manufactured from the leaves of the citronella plant.

Create a flying midge trap by removing the pop top of an empty metal soda can. Fill the can with 1 cup white or apple cider vinegar and 1/4 tbsp. liquid dish soap. Set one or more of these gnat traps throughout the inside and outside of your home. The flying midges will be attracted to the vinegar odor and once they enter the can, will drown. Empty out the contents of the soda can weekly and replace, if necessary.

My dad gets them hovering round the pond. He puts washing up liquid and water in a spray bottle and squirts them, always works and doesn't damage any plants.

Alternatively, I like the flame thrower meself.  :thumbsup:

Indeed. Sounds SUCH fun ey? eveilgrin:

Got plenty of spray cans of stuff for me werk here. I could use one of them and light the spray!
VOILA! :thumbsup:

Bit puzzled as to why they seem to congregate in the same place all the time.
If it was a stagnant pond or puddle or summat, or over a stinky drain, then I could understand it, but it ain'tant. rubschin:
 It's really quite simply over a clean but of concrete half way up the garden path.
Most odd. confused:

Where, exactly, have I mentioned anything about mosquitoes...anything? Shrugs:

Correct, I haven't. ::)
They are tiny flies, probably midges.
