Apologies have now been received from Head of Learning (Year9) ~ detentions have been cancelled and the teacher in question is to be advised as to his responsibilities regarding "Identifying the individual needs of each pupil, using varied teaching styles whilst keeping those needs in mind and providing support rather than threats to those with an identified need"
See ~ All nicely extracted from the "Teaching Handbook" and no mention of the bloody Welsh.

Apologies also if the lad was upset by the lecture on Nazi Torture to a year group of 13 year olds. The man even accepted my point that some of the
nasty little sods other pupils would see the lecture as a lesson in how to torture their classmates. He said he too thought that the head had overstepped the mark when he saw many of the children crying as they left the Hall at the end of the assembly and questioned them as to why they were upset. He had not been present himself but as he also said "You know what MR XXXXXX is like" to which I replied "Indeed I do, I know a rampant God botherer when I see one".
I think we shall leave it there for the time being.
