No Spin From Brown's Government ...HaHaHaHa

Gordon "we'll not spin anymore" Brown must be feeling chuffed with Debby Reynold's newest theory.
The Foot and Mouth was carried to the affected farm, from the sites where the live virus is kept and used, by the recent floods. So it is not the fault of a Government Department or even its close allies in the company next door who make the vaccine (and stand to profit from any use of vaccines) but an ACT OF GOD.
 I bet DEFRA are kicking themselves that they never thought of that one last time.

That's a good one - if people are daft enough to swallow it!

I seem to recall that the bulk of the flooding was in Gloucester, Hull and along the Thames. Pirbright, last time I looked, did not belong in any of those locations.

How daft do they think we are? (No, don't answer that - it was rhetorical!)

I only heard it on the 6o'clock Radio Four News and can find no internet confirmation of the story but the theory seems to be that the heavy rains could have caused  the virus, which would have normally been washed off by the workers at the site into the drains, to overflow into the surface water which the cattle then drank. I must admit it sounds to me like someone clutching at straws. "It wasn't us Guv, the heavy rain was to blame ~ it overwhelmed all our A1 first class and approved bio-security measures 'cos it was so unusual for it to rain in the UK"

Well if its an act of God then the government can get ambulance chasers for you et al to start suing the major religions as they are 'god's' representatives on earth.

Don't be so ridiculous Snoopy, Blair may have found God but Brown will find a far more taxable excuse, Climate Change!

Does that mean that Global Warming that preceeded climate change is the only thing that prevented this happening earlier?

No I predict that Gordon will be correct, there will be no more spin by this government. Instead billions of pounds of taxpayers money will be wasted funding a think tank set up to come up with a new name to replace spin.  Banghead
