Another fecking government initiative to eradicate child poverty on the wireless this morning!

How many children really live in what I would class as 'poverty' in the UK?
If they have a roof over their heads, clean drinking water, free education (with free school meals) they aint living in poverty by my measure...
I'm sure there are a small number of families that slip through the net but on the whole 99.99999% must have the minimum that I outlined above... this isn't a problem that needs ££££££££££££s of hard earned thrown at it...
And isn't 'poverty' linked to the median income anyway - so it can never be eradicated by that measure?
I had to switch the Today programme off this morning before I burst a blood vessel....
