E mail idiocy
« on: November 23, 2010, 10:05:44 AM »
I sent out some werk on an e mail to 7 recipients yesterday. One (a wumman  ::)) has just replied to say that she found it in her junk folder and that this may have also happened to other recipients. Her suggestion? THat I e mail them to let them know.

Good plan Cheryl, that's going to work, isn't it?

Do people not check their junk folder then ?

Surely you don't automatically delete everything in there , you check and if you see anything unusual then check it first. Common sense  ( and yes wumman can use this occasionally !!!! )

SWWLTBO had a similar problem with one of her students who kept claiming to have sent his Homework via email but was not receiving any "feedback".

Eventually ~ when she reached  angry041: with him ~ I got on the phone and talked him through changing his "Junk Settings"  ::)

Nick should suggest to Cheryl that she does the same .... although given her name it may be wasted effort!

Am I wrong to make assumptions based on names and associated behaviour?

It would also help if Nick changed his e-mail name from viagra.kidneybruiser@whopper.com
