So Gordon is still Chancellor then?
« on: March 06, 2010, 01:44:11 PM »
According to this Sky News report Gordon will be announcing the budget changes ~ shurely shome mishtake?

Anywho ~ no matter who announces it the maths are very dodgy ~ assuming an increase in tax on ciggies results in a reduction in smoking, as they claim, surely the reduction in smoking will result in a reduction in tax revenues. Honestly these people must think we are all as stoopid as them.

Personally I am actively thinking about returning to the fold of smokers in defiance of these nannies ~ if the latest lot of quacks in Liverpool cannot do anything for me then there is no point in denying myself a small pleasure any longer.
It certainly is not helping me to live any longer ...... although I grant it often feels like it. sad24:
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.

Increased taxes and draconian punishments for smoking have never affected it....  noooo:

All it will do is boost the trade in illegally imported fags or fags imported legally from the EU.

Enjoy it Snoops...
