Indeed not ~ my fear is that a lot of cops are at best trigger happy lunatics who only went into the Force because of their personality problems.

I have a sneaking suspicion that this is part of a long term staged process to arming the entire police force. First roll out tasers as a test, then incrementally roll them out across the whole of the force. Then after a while slowly increase the number of firearms officers claiming that they are needed in order to fight the terrorist threat.

It was interesting on the radio this morning...

The spokesperson was saying how important they were and how it was only fair for the police to be armed with a Tazer when facing a gunman or knife-wielding homicidal maniac... and how it was better for the gunman or knife-wielding homicidal maniac to be 'shot' with a Tazer than a Smith and Wesson, etc.

When Humphries asked him if they were to be used instead of guns he went into blather mode...

Police state it is then... put plastic in your cardboard bin and you'll get the full 500,000 Volts for your carelessness...  noooo:
