My dad took me to see that film at the ABC Cinema in Southampton when my little brother was having his tonsils out. ..................... That must be  rubschin: something like 55 years ago

I just Googled it. The Film was made in 1954 so my guess was a year out. eeek:

I do remember my Dad saying how realistic the effects were in the film. "You can almost smell the smoke from the explosions" he said. When we got outside there were fire engines all round the cinema. Seems some arse had stuffed icecream wrappers into one of the air vents and set light to them. Dad died many years later but whenever asked what was the last time he went to the cinema ~ it was that film he had been to see.

I know ........ But is there anything new.

On a related subject:
Amazon's sniffers spend enough time here to have worked it out but they have homed in on "Virtual" and "Snoopy" thus they are advertising Snoopy mugs and cartoon books and just about anything they can find with the word Virtual in it.  ::)

This is the point ............... One label read Broccori. Honest (would I lie to you?)

In a similar vein, my sister once bought a sweater, a bargain she thought in an Italian market. On returning back to the hotel she was admiring said purchase and took a look at the label with the washing instructions...

Hand wash only.... Fumble Dry    eeek:
