Do animals have suicidal tendencies ?
« on: July 02, 2014, 11:55:44 AM »
Driving along a gorgeous road in Ireland , in daylight, nothing as far as the eye can see or the ear can hear , space abounds, tranquil , gorgeous , lovely..................

Until some effin hoooge hare darts right out in front of the car we are in and you hear the sickening squeal of the brakes and the inevitable thud  noooo:

It was a hire car so obviously the first instinct was to check for damage to the car  redface: . Then the man walked down the road to where it had happened , luckily I couldn't see , but the blasted hare was still alive  eeek: . All it's limbs broken , it had somehow crawled to the side of the road  eeek: eeek: eeek: . Guts hanging out apparently . So 'the man' picked up a rock and put it out it's misery  eeek: eeek: eeek:

 sad32: sad32: sad32:

But ffs - why ,when there is absolutely nuffink about, does the stupid bloody animal decide to make a dart for it ?  Banghead Banghead Banghead

They do that. I hit one during a track day at Snetterton.  You can't tell me it couldn't hear the noise of 20-odd bikes at 14, 000 rpm! Luckily I was doing about 150mph, so it basically exploded. Made a right mess of the fairings though
