Just ordered a second battery, kerching .Not just to capture some of this exported power, it seems batteries have a power in/out limit. In our case 4.5kW which would be fine except charging the car takes 7.3kW so we can only do it 'for free' when the sun's properly shining.

Seems you can get a 5kW petrol generator for about €1k but it's a real faff to use them safely and legally for your home https://www.inbalance-energy.co.uk/articles/how-to-power-house-portable-generator.html
First power cut since the panels installed.Currently in smug mode as they're generating 3.5kW
