Watching it, or doing it
I watched the Tour of Switzerland the other week, one hour of each stage. The main reason being that one of the legs finished where I lived for six months in 1970 and wanted to relive some memories in a small way.
I was fascinated by the whole thing. The different teams, the roles each team member plays, the cameraderie not just in the team, but between the teams too.
I never thought I could watch cycling as a sport, but I'm now hooked. I've watched some stages of the Tour de France live, and recorded all stages, and slowly progressing through them. These guys are super-fit, in the region of 200km per day and still able to sprint at the end of it all. In the last few weeks I've seen guys ride on with broken ribs, broken wrists, and one rode on with a broken hip without realising (

) It's a shame that the sport is tainted by drugs, but I'd want more than drugs if I was exerting myself like that
Add to that the scenery, the atmosphere the crowds generate, the reminiscing of the commentators... beats hell of a lot of other sports for me

Tour of Britain is in Nottingham on 10.09.12 Nick
