OI YOU! evil:

Why would you choose to make a cake without flour when it's not necessary noooo:
Hope it's not too sweet either ....that wouldn't be acceptable for a cake noooo:
Poor Growler noooo:
-
I have made Nigella's flour free chocolate cake ~ delish but bloody expensive on the ingredients as I recall.
Oh and for the doubters using ground almonds in place of flour is quite common ~ particularly for those who are gluten intolerant. Ground almonds are sometimes referred to as Almond flour.... looks very much the same ackchooly. One can also use potato flour.
The only problem with the cake I made was that Minimus is allergic to both eggs and nuts.
-
As I recall, I think Growler likes a bit of chocolate
Here's one I do, but haven't for a while rubschin:
Guinness and chocolate cake
8oz butter
12 oz soft brown sugar
4 eggs, beaten
4 oz cocoa powder
400ml Guinness
8 oz plain flour
1 tsp baking powder
2 tsp bicarbonate of soda
Blend the butter with the sugar until smooth. Add the eggs.
Mix the cocoa powder with the Guinness, then add this to the mixture
Mix the flour, baking powder and bicarbonate of soda together then sift into the mixture and mix everything well
Pour the mixture into a well greased 10" tin and cook at 180c for 60 to 75 minutes (if the top looks as though it's catching, cover with foil for the last part)

Can you taste milk when you put that in a cake? I was gonna say the Guinness has lots of bubbles so it aerates the cake, but I know you'd suggest using Aero to cut out the middle man as it were lol:

See you do think like a gerl lol:
