Title: Russell Brand
Post by: Snoopy on July 29, 2007, 05:34:50 PM
Funny or not? Personally I do not find him even mildly amusing, perhaps it's an age thing, but does he really belong on Radio Two?

I heard the Controller of BBC Radio Two trying to defend placing him on, what is admittedly, a station for the oldies ~ she was less than convincing.

What does the team think?

And whilst you're at it what about those other two morons who are now on Monday to Thursday inclusive twixt 8 and 10pm? Just at the time when I would like to settle down with a book and some light music I get these two twats trying to outdo one another with puerile banter.

In the words of many correspondents to Points of View. Why BBC Why?

I think he's ok, saw him on the Jonathon Woss show and he seemed quite down to earth.  He could be considered a reflection of the fecked up society in which we live, he's created a meeja character that hides his true feelings and projects the drug/drink fuelled celeb lifestyle that youngsters apparently aspire to.  Haven't heard him on the radio though.

Now that R2 has Ross, Evans and Brand it is fair to say that R2 is the new R1.
