Title: Funereal Fashions
Post by: Miss Creant Commander of the picklement and baking BAb(Hons) on July 04, 2011, 01:14:44 PM
Mr Cs rellie who had prostate has now become permanently prostrate. I cannot get Pythons parrot sketch out of my mind right now. redface:

We will be expected to attend the funeral.

Not having attended one for a while and wishing not wishing to offend the Ecclesfield (and surrounding area) Fashion Stasi I am at a loss as to what to wear.

Advice please.

Nick's new career could really be taking off today  lol:

Sorry to hear about the funeral though Miss C.

Unless specified otherwise I would just go with a sombre dress code , blacks or navy and maybe a bit of colour in accessories or suc. Not sure about any hat protocol as I don't wear them .

 noooo:

Some people specify that they want attendees to go in bright and colourful array - but unless this has been made clear stick to the tried and tested  rubschin:

Thanks Miss D.  I did not know the man he was a cousin of Mr Cs.  As he was 10 years older than Mr C they were not close. Gawd, I have not worn a hat for years that had not even occurred to me.  All the wrinklies will have them I am sure. Lurkio will be in his element. I may go for Nick's fancy dress option.

When living in Yorkshire let "Last of the Summer Wine" be your guide.
Tragically accurate.

Last of the summer wine Just a small funeral part 5 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=50t_peAX5Bk#)

Yes it was "Compo's" funeral .... can't have been easy for the cast as Bill had really died.

For Yorkshire I would think something black and skimpy with all your tattoos visible.

Also, a large handbag full of Woodbines and ASDA gin.

Leave the whippet in the car during the service.

Skeleton costumes are sooooo last year Miss C, its all about accessories now. You want a long hooded black robe and a scythe.  whistle:

Ooo this is getting good. I can wear a thong.

I think a combination would be the correct thing to do. Long black robe during the service which can be removed at the gathering after the service to reveal tattoos, skimpy something, dyed black ferret with jewelled collar (it is Ecclesfield afterall), top of thong and a huge expanse of arse.

I thought you said Lurkio was going so surely that is already covered.

What could possibly go wrong?

I am going on a ferret hunt, you really do not want to be saying that in a hurry after a few vino's

Actually I don't know if Lurkio is going it is afterall being held during daylight hours.
