Tattoos on females
I have never liked them, but just lately I'm not able to walk more than a few yards without seeing yet another tattoo on a woman
Each weekend, apart from this one there have been wedding do's nearby. There they are, in their finest clothes, loveliest hats, hair and make up done immaculately, looking great, but I reckon 25% of them have eirther a tattoo on their shoulder, arm, or leg/ankle sick2: , kills the whole effect. And at Morrison's this morning, same thing, tattoos left, right and centre sick2: sick2: sick2:
Compare that to my visit to Great Dixter last week where there were coach loads of Dutch, Germans, Canadians and Japanese, and I don't think I saw one tattoo there
Is it a British thing?
oh, and I don't like them on blokes either

Tattoos are ghastly... no exceptions.... noooo:
-
I can't stand em on wimmin but don't mind certain ones on a bloke ( my name across their forehead lol: ).
I am blemish free angel1
-
Have to say in the gym changing room you can't help but notice the amount of tatts on the wimmin. Small ones just on the hip bone , or on the ankle. But there are some with lots and I can't stand the ones with a tatt just visible on their breast sick2:
But at least 50 % of them have them noooo:

I was changing next to a woman this morning ( in the gym) and she had an anchor tattoo on her foot. The topside ( not the sole ) ...what do you call that bit by the way ? Is there a term for it , not the ankle , the sole, the toes but the rest of it rubschin:
Anyways she had an anchor on her right foot and on her shoulder blade a picture of a mermaid noooo: noooo: noooo:
Looked ridiculous noooo:

No, the instep is between the heel and the ball (and no Barman, that's not my f***ing knee) I mean on the bottom of the foot

Oh noes tho.... luckily I have a good memory like..... whistle:
Father was a shoe shop manager for most of his life ~ I promise you "Instep" is the top bit of the foot between the toes and the ankle. It is the bot where the shoe laces do up and hurts if you have the laces too tight.
The bit underneath the foot is the "Arch".
Pirate is right!
As is Uncle.
-
BM has the right of it!
Instep is the bit twixt ankle joint and toes over which you would lace your trainers, (or in BM's case anchor the velcro straps). Some people refer to it as the "forefoot".
Beneath the foot the bit between heel and toes is the "arch" of the foot. People with "Flat feet" are said to suffer from "Fallen arches"
I would add that I would not have a tattoo there as I have once had blood taken from my foot, when the arm and hand veins just wouldn't give any and it was the most painful needle I have ever experienced.
Come to that I think it unlikely that I would have a tattoo anywhere.
-
But Miss D was referring to the bit, Snoopy was referring to the bot ;)
-
Well she had an anchor on it lol:

I said you could trust me... eyes:

Don't like them, full stop.
My ex got a small Harley Davidson one at a HOG Rally once & tried extremely hard to keep it from me.
The children grassed him up (I trained them well!)
