Title: Bloody kids
Post by: Miss Creant Commander of the picklement and baking BAb(Hons) on June 08, 2011, 08:08:19 PM
My DIL is due to have her third baby any day now.  It was due yesterday.

She and my son have split up.

They have two other children 4 and 2.

DIL has an infection which means that she needs to be on intravenouses penicillin early in labour so that it is not transferred to baby.

DIL plan is to drive to the hospital whilst in labour.

I offer to pay for a taxi.

Reply.  'Don't worry about me Miss C'.

I am not you stupid bint.  I am worried about my grandchildren being bought up motherless, you killing my grandchild or damaging it in some way in a car crash and you killing maiming others whilst you are driving uninsured. Banghead Banghead Banghead Explode:

I will go and take a few deep breaths then phone the poor love.

I've heard it can make the old tackle sting quite a bit.  ;)

Not surprisingly I suppose DIL told me in no uncertain terms where to go following my concerns over her driving to the hospital.

Granddaughter number 2 arrived yesterday after a 50 minute labour by all accounts.  Just as well she didn't drive to hospital. noooo:

I am now trying to decide if I should send flowers and what to put in the card.  The phrase 'grow up you grandstanding bint' seems inappropriate. redface:

I am sure you will remain the epitome of tact and discretion.  angel1

Congratters old thing.

Suggest you send a card (they don't allow flowers in Hospitals these days) saying

"One born every minute ~ no big deal then"
