There was lots about this on the news yesterday.
Life Length is planning on selling its testing kit over the counter in Britain. Although it can't actually tell people how long they have left to live, it does offer an insight into how quickly they are ageing.
The £400 test tells you how long you'll live, apparently the test measures the length of telomeres, which are structures on the end of chromosomes and scientists believe they are one of the most accurate ways of measuring the ageing process
So if I knew I was going not live long past 60 does that mean I can go and spend any money I currently have in a pension plan ???
Would I want to know ???
Would my nosiness win out ????
Probably redface:

Waste of money.
You could fall under a bus at any time.
Old Age will eventually kill you but many other things may take you before you grow old.

I'm sure they'd give you (or your estate) your money back if they predict a long life and a bendy bus claims you as you walk out of the door.... ::)

And what if the result came back that you should have died a year ago, eh? rubschin: rubschin:

If the test was that good then annuity companies would insist on their customers having one before producing a pension plan.
