Unveiling of the Olympic Clock in Trafalgar Square

Workmen by the broken clock

The error was reported  Tuesday afternoon, and later confirmed by the clock's manufacturer Omega, only hours after being officially unveiled on the day the ballot for tickets also opened.
Workmen were seen attending to the clock after lunch, while an official statement was later released by Omega which declared: 'We are obviously very disappointed that the clock has suffered this technical issue.
‘The Omega London 2012 countdown clock was developed by our experts and fully tested ahead of the launch in Trafalgar Square.
‘We are currently looking into why this happened and expect to have the clock functioning as normal as soon as possible.’
Olympic organisers have faced something of a headache today with millions of bank card users reportedly unable to register for tickets.

Visa, the official card payment company of the Games, has blamed organisers of the Olympics for information on the ticket booking form which rejects cards that expire on or before July 31.
Anyone attempting to register for tickets with cards matching that description, therefore, will see their online application rejected.
Organisers have countered with the fact the ballot is open until April 26 and tickets aren’t on a first come, first serve basis.

Going well then  happy001
