The main problem at the moment is that I don't have any. My neighbours are thinking about keeping chickens. I feel I am on safe ground getting some. cloud9:

Also tempted to get some Indian runner ducks crap egg layers but great fun to watch. cloud9:

Pekins are great characters, and Frizzles are great to look at, fantastic eggs, all yolk and little white  cloud9:

In the past I kept Silkies as great broodies, crossed some white star hybrids with an Araucana cockerel which gave me loads of blue eggs.

My potatoes are now chitting themselves in the shed.
