Parliament "Broke-up" for Christmas on December the 18th and are resuming today January the 12th.
Nice "work" if you can get it.
BUT
Did anyone actually notice their absence? Did it make any difference? tunble:

I was thinking the same thing the other day... I note that the 'machine' keeps churning out shite announcements while they are away but I'm sure the country doesn't miss them... most everything is organised from within the EU now anyway so the 640 are pretty much redundant parasites...

Until there is a complete restructuring of the political system we arent going to notice when these useless cretins are working or bunking off.
I've said for years that with the exception of the PM and Deputy PM, MP's should not be in the cabinet. It should instead be filled in the same way a successful business fills its vacancies. By recruiting people with the relevant qualifications and/or experience for the role and not be given out as a either a sop to prevent someone throwing their dummy out of the pram like Gordon or for toadying.
Plus you can either do one important demanding job well or a make piss poor effort at 2 of them at the same time.
